gubbio

Gubbio's vision is based on a belief that we all have a place in our society, one that builds respect and encourages community. This vision takes on shape by first protecting the poorest by linking them to the more affluent, and gives vision to the affluent for a vocation of deeper service.

Getting involved in such a vision varies upon what your own commitments allow. For those who are limited in time, or unable to join a Gubbio Board committee or volunteer, there is the Honorary Board membership.

An Honorary Board member agrees to do four things over a one year commitment: Prayer. Presence. People. Pledge.

  • Prayer. Spend one half hour sitting in prayer in St. Boniface Church two times in the year when "Sacred Sleep" is being offered" bv the Gubbio Project (Monday through Friday 7:30am- 12:15pm)
  • Presence. Attend the annual Gubbio Project Benefit (Fall)
  • People. Invite two people to join the honorary board sometime within the year
  • Pledge. Decide on an annual contribution that connects your life significantly to the ministry of Gubbio.
If this type of involvement fits your schedule and desires, then download the sign-up form, print it out, complete it, mail it care of our Executive Director at our Gubbio address. We will send you a confirmation of your participation and keep you informed through newsletters, special mailings, emails and connections to our website of the decisions and directions of Gubbio throughout the year. In this way, from wherever you are, the work of Gubbio can continue and grow. Your involvement is important. Join the Honorary Board and invite a friend who shares your same hopes and desires to join as well.
